The Australian reply came in hard and quick. Beth Mooney (89*) added a 73-run stand with Alyssa Healy (37) inside nine overs. The remaining runs were tracked down in another nine overs as Mooney and Tahila McCgrath (40*) added another unbeaten 100-run stand to take the side home. The Aussies dominated the Indian bowlers to make the match a one-sided affair in the end. 

Both teams have played 25 T20Is against each other with Australia winning 18 games while India just six. Australia Women last played against India in Commonwealth Games 2022 in England. Australia Women reached the final of the tournament and defeated India Women by 9 runs to bag the trophy.
