Suspect in brutal murder of mother of 3 caught in Kentucky

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - A suspect in a West Coast murder case was caught in Kentucky.

Monday morning, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Dariel Nunez Montero is the suspect in the brutal November murder of Courtney Clinton, a mother of three, in Washington state.

Police found Clinton’s body in her car with cut wounds on her neck; her 1-year-old child was in the car with her, untouched.

Nunez Montero was arrested with three other men last week in Montgomery County. They are accused of stealing $18,000 of diesel fuel from pumps, claiming they did it to support a trucking business.

The sheriff’s offices in both states are coordinating on the case.

Nunez Montero is currently awaiting extradition back to Washington state.

We have made multiple attempts to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office for comment, but they’ve not gotten back to us.
