MG Showcases Cyber X And Cyberster At Shanghai Auto Show
MG has showcased its upcoming electric portfolio at the Shanghai Auto Show. The Cyberster gets a new Black edition and they have also showcased the Cyber X.

MG has showcased it upcoming electric car portfolio at the Shanghai Auto Show. The talking point is the new Cyber X SUV and also the Cyberster Black Edition. The Cyber X is still in concept phase but MG is working towards launching the Cyberster soo in the Indian market as well.
The Cyber X features a boxy SUV design which is becoming quite popular in today’s day and age as everyone wants that rugged look. Interestingly, the Cyber X has been designed by Joseph Kaban, the same person who designed the Bugatti Veyron. The Cyber X, while boxy has quite a few distinct design elements. There is an LED lightbar and 4 small LEDs which pop out of the bonnet (are pop ups back?) to complement which look like auxiliary lights as well. The headlights are placed below in the bumper. We can expect MG to pitch this as their off-road EV to the customers since it is a segment which is booming right now.
Next up is the Cyberster Black which obviously comes with black paint and black interiors. One unique thing about the Cyberster Black is the chrome wheels. This feels very early 2000s American culture but we are all for brightly done up wheels. The Cyberster has already debuted in India and will soon be officially launched as well. We are expecting it to get launched sometime in May.
The Cyberster will feature a 77 kWh battery pack with twin electric motors producing a heavy 503 bhp and 725 Nm of torque. 0-100 kmph will happen in just 3.2 seconds and it can do an estimated 580 kms on the CLTC cycle. We expect it to be priced around Rs 70-80 lakhs (ex-showroom).
