Loose Women star Nadia Sawalha has shared an emotionally-charged recollection of her experiences as a first-time mother, candidly discussing the "difficult birth" of her eldest daughter Maddy.
During a heartfelt conversation with her Loose Women co-star Kaye Adams, Nadia recalled how she was overwhelmed by the sudden responsibilities, leading to a poignant moment where she found herself in tears while breastfeeding her newborn infant.
Looking back to the difficult time, she said: "It was so so difficult, especially when I realised I couldn't just go to the pub whenever I wanted to. I remember sobbing breastfeeding Maddy."
As Kaye questioned if she was serious amid recounting her trying ordeal, Nadia clarified: "No no, I was sobbing because I didn't really realise, I was like how has this happened? I had a very difficult birth with my first one and I was breastfeeding her and a message came in for Mark to go to the pub with his friends."

Moreover, during their chat on the Loose Women podcast, she elaborated: "He went 'they're going to the pub' and I said 'oh, you go' and they went and I was just sat their going (sobbing noise)".
In another episode of the Loose Women podcast, Nadia also opened up about the anguish of enduring miscarriages before the arrival of her second daughter, Kiki.
While chatting with Myleene Klass regarding the emotional times, she disclosed: "I've had lots of traumatic things happen in my life, like so many people have, but I feel very much healed in all of them."
However, she also opened up about feeling "instantly healed" of her past traumatic experiences following the birth of her youngest child, Kiki, saying: "When my youngest was born, I felt instantly healed of my miscarriages, it's not the same for all people."
Having exchanged vows with her husband Mark Adderley nearly 23 years ago, the couple have had two daughters together, Maddy in 2002, followed by Kiki five years on.
Throughout the years, Nadia has developed a formidable career in the media industry.
Her breakout role came in 1997 as Annie Palmer on the popular BBC soap EastEnders. Her stint with the show concluded two years later when her character embarked on a new chapter in New Zealand.
While she initially gained fame from EastEnders, Nadia is arguably more recognized as one of the first panellists on Loose Women, featuring alongside TV stalwarts Kaye Adams, Jane Moore, and Karren Brady in the first instalment of the much-loved ITV program.
Her impressive career has also seen her present on The One Show and Lorraine, as well as venturing into reality television.
She came out victorious on Celebrity MasterChef in 2007 and further showcased her talents on Dancing on Ice in 2011.
