‘Andy Reid has done it again’ – Kansas City Chiefs get ‘steal of NFL Draft’ in new Patrick Mahomes target on cheap deal

THE Kansas City Chiefs have bagged another top Patrick Mahomes target in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Andy Reid was looking to add a wide receiver weapon to his list of offensive stars.

They lost both DeAndre Hopkins and Super Bowl winner Mecole Hardman in the offseason.

The Chiefs decided to use one of their selections in the NFL Draft on a new touchdown threat.

The AFC West team took Jalen Royals at number 133 overall.

The Utah State wideout was taken at number 31 of the fourth round.

He joins one of the best offenses in the league, alongside Travis Kelce and Co.

And NFL fans have predicted the Chiefs have got another "steal" in the draft.

"Andy Reid has done it again," one said on social networking site X.

Another added: "Another good WR has fallen to Patrick Mahomes."

A third commented: "It’s a good pick for them so naturally I hate it…"

A fourth said: "Steal of the draft at WR spot."

And one added: "devil magic strikes again."

The Chiefs will also get him on a cheaper deal, after he dropped down to the fourth round.

Royals was ranked by many as the sixth best wide receiver in the draft.

However, he has huge upside and will only get better under the coaching of Reid.

He also gets to work with other impressive young stars like Xavier Worthy.

Rashee Rice will be returning in 2025 after an injury-plagued season.

Royals spent three years at Utah State, where he won a number of awards.

The pass catcher was also the Aggies' single season touchdown record holder with 15 last year.

The 22-year-old is rapid fast and a deadly threat in the end zone.

"To hear my name in the fourth round is amazing," he told reporter.

"To catch passes from him is amazing."
