A 25-year-old security guard has been charged with murder in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred in East Coast Demerara.
Messiah Mussenden of Buxton/Friendship was arrested by police on June 8 and formally charged today by a rank from the Criminal Investigation Department’s Major Crime Investigation Unit with the murder of Rondell Clarke.
The fatal shooting occurred at Foulis, East Coast Demerara.
Mussenden appeared at the Vigilance Magistrate’s Court earlier today before His Worship Sunil Scarce, where the charge was read to him. He was not required to plead to the indictable charge and was remanded to prison.
The matter was postponed to July 15 and transferred to the Cove and John Magistrate’s Court for report and filing of statements.
