A primary school on Canvey has maintained its "good" standards following a visit from Ofsted inspectors.
William Read Primary Academy, in Long Road, was told standards had been maintained following an inspection on April 23 and 24.
The school is part of Northwick Park Academy Trust and is attended by 198 pupils.
Inspectors found that "William Read is a friendly and welcoming place" and that "pupils arrive each morning eager to learn".
The report added: "Staff have positive relationships with pupils.
"They greet pupils with warm smiles and settle them quickly into learning.
"Well-established rules help pupils to behave as the school expects.
"Pupils feel safe. They trust adults to help and look after them.
"Pupils are kind and caring and look after each other."
The report also highlighted the "broad and well-organised curriculum" and the high ambition for all pupils, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).
It was noted that the school identifies additional needs quickly and provides the necessary support for pupils to learn successfully.
The report concluded that there is a "clear trajectory of improvement in outcomes and provision".
William Read Primary Academy has been rated "good" since 2014.
This latest inspection was ungraded to determine whether the school has taken effective action to maintain the standards identified at that previous inspection.
